Did you see it? If not, you've heard plenty about Avatar. Not only is it likely to take home a space ship brimming with Oscars, it has already broken the all time profit barrier. The 3-D is spectacular and well done. See it on an I-Max screen even if you've already seen it. Like a great ride.. you can enjoy it again. In fact, this weekend we are giving you another way to enjoy it and celebrate the Oscars with a toast to your favorite Avatar. Anne and I were sitting and chatting with Marge the other day when she offered us a taste of Avatar in a martini glass. We all agreed that it was a bit edgy when made with gin so tested another with vodka! We were lightly lifted to Pandora and definitely felt like we were communing with the tree of life. Try one Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We think you'll give it five stars and three or so thumbs up.
 | Tis' the day when we can all be a little Irish. Corned Beef and Cabbage won't wait .. Chef Randy will be serving for lunch next Tuesday - March 9th .. both Corned Beef and Cabbage and Corned Beef Sandwiches. Then all day on the 17th and into the night enjoy Irish as we party with live music in the Salem Lounge at 7p.m. Beer too!

If you made it all the way down here, I've saved the very tasty best for last... An incredible treat for you. I know that not everyone is big on desserts .. that's ok, make this your main dish then. It's big delicious and very shareable. Order one for the table and you will get instant LOVE.
This also is our TASTE OF THE WEEK!!! No ordinary ICE CREAM SANDWICH, this one is made with two brownies sandwiched around the most incredibly rich and creamy ice cream you've likely ever tasted. Chef Randy went right to the source for this truly premium ice cream. You will not find this the store. The Ice Cream Sandwich is BIG, RICH, and and CREAMY with just enough HAND MADE CHOCOLATE SAUCE and a dollop of REAL WHIPPED CREAM for dipping. This photo doesn't nearly do it justice and, to tell the truth, we had six people waiting to eat it so I was a bit hurried. Even after a nice meal we savored every last bite of this one. I don't know about you but I'm getting really hungry just writing about this one.
As you can see we've been very busy at the Port getting ready for holidays and putting together some great entertainment events for you. Every Friday and Saturday you can enjoy live music in the Salem Lounge. Our CALENDAR will keep you up to date on who plays when.
I host a monthly meeting at Port Edward the first Wednesday of each month - www.MyPositiveCharge.com will give you an overview. We have about 20 per month in for a great Port Ed breakfast (no we are not open for breakfast except for special meetings.) This month we went around the table and explored what was inspiring us right now. If you want to get some insights about a person, ask that question. Think about it yourself. What inspires you? Who do you inspire? We have some very interesting discussions at Posi+ive Charge! .. If you are feeling a bit on the positive side join us in April. $10 for breakfast and meeting. We meet in the Salem Lounge with an awesome morning view of the river valley. 8:30 to 10a.m..
If you have a group that has a breakfast meeting on Wednesday and would like to upgrade to Port Edward with a great view and hearty breakfast buffet, please contact me. I can tell you that this venue will draw people to your meeting. That's also the report we got from Women's Leadership Network who recently moved their monthly meeting to Port Edward. The Algonquin LITH Rotary has been meeting here for over 15 years and we are pleased to host many groups throughout the year. Let us host yours for a truly great time.
With the Oscars just a couple of days away Anne and I are making our plans for a cozy evening in front of the big screen. We're ordering a Party Platter with a few shrimp, Tuna, my favorite Port Ed Crab Dip, and some Calamari with spicy red sauce... maybe more .. now that I think of it I could be very hungry by Sunday night. These lovely sunny days are making me really ready for Spring. I want to go outside and do some serious river time. Daylight Savings Time is a clue that spring cannot be far behind and DST always begins on the second Sunday of March.. that would be the 14th this year. First Day of Spring is March 20th!!!
I had better get this in the mail. It would be midnight if I told you everything that is going on at your Port. We've been busier than ever lately thanks to you and your friends! We really do appreciate serving you and making your every visit a special celebration!
